So I thought I'd join here because I have 15lbs to lose...to meet my personal goal...I wiegh 149 - I've lost 29lbs in 10 weeks! I am on the South Beach diet and L*O*V*E it!! It's worked great! I've gone from a size 18 to a size 8 (very loose)in 9 weeks!! WONDERFUL diet!!! Anyway, just thought I'd introduce myslef!

Welcome - I'm excited to hear another South Beach success story. How did you go about starting? Did you get a book? Go online? Is it expensive? We're glad to have you here.

Hey! I started because 2 of my friends were on it...my bf's mom lost like 70+ lbs and I was already skinny but prego so I thought I'd give it a shot once I had him...well, he was 2 mos and still I was 178. Then my Mom started and kept losing and losing and losing so by the time she lost 15lbs I started! I lost 13lbs in the first 2 weeks and decided to stick to it...my bf had the book so I borrowed it and followed the 2 week eating plan and wow it was hard for the first 4 days - literally my head was POUNDING the whole time!! That finally went away and I've been on it ever since. I already have hit all my goals...back into my skinny jeans and WAY before my goal of by Christmas. I was in them before Halloween!! =) But, now I have a personal goal of being 135 but my hubbie thinks I may be too thin if I lose 15lbs. So, my plan B is to be in a size 4 which I was before my daughter was born...I can fit a size 8 now but they are so lose...I think I'm a 6 but too scared to try on a pair! haha.

All in all the SBD REALLY worked for me. I even treat myself to little things every so often. We went to dinner with a group of friends and I had cauliflower mash, brocolli and a petite sirloin...well, had a appletini and shared my hubbies butterfinger pie...Y*U*M!!! Haven't gained a pund back! =) Yeah!

So, if you want to try it...I highly suggest it...just remember the first 4 days SUCK!! lol!

I do have the cookbook too, my neighbor is letting me borrow it. It has really cool recipes that are easy to follow, YUMMY and it tells you what phase it's for! I found the book on ebay (I gave my pal hers back) for $3.99 (in stores it's $25) and the cookbook is on there cheap too! If you're gonna do it - get the books - it helps and gives you a fool proof meal plan!!
